BYE BYE ATHLONE TOWERS
I think there will be a lot of angry people today, and not only about the the Towers been blown down. For some reason the the whole thing went down 5 minutes early. A lot of people including myself were caught by surprise when out of nowhere we heard the countdown 4-3-2-1. Most of us had packed our gear away at 11:50 because of the rain, and to our surprise at 11:55 the towers were gone. A couple of media around could not believe that they had missed this historic moment. All I can say conspiracy. At I least managed to grab the camera quick enough to get a couple of frames.
